187 mL of sparkling wine. A bottle, a label, a closure, sometimes a capsule—and a question: does every piece earn its place?
The object
A miniature bottle can carry a full-size performance.
Some sparkling-wine splits use a plastic, cork-shaped twist closure. It can recreate the visual cue of a traditional sparkling bottle. But the 187 mL format is not married to that choice: pressure-rated bottles are commercially offered with crown and ROPP finishes, among other systems.

This is an investigation, not a claim that every producer can switch systems overnight. Neck finishes, pressure, liners, machinery, and recovery systems all matter.
